You really hould not have a desktop.ini on the root. I have never seen one there. Remember you will need to make the folder Read-only to get the icon to change for the root and that in itself is asking for trouble. Deal with the C drive as a yellow folder. Changing it using desktop.ini is asking for trouble.

It added desktop.ini and folder.htt files and all worked well. I've tried to copy those files into another folder to make the same customization, not to have to use GUI (IESHWIZ.EXE) for every folder. I had no success.
